How i wish this were true! I think you can definitely force out a reading - that's certainly what Church leaders try to do - but objectively no, there's no one theology that can be deduced from the writings of the New Testament. The vast number of churches with their competing theologies and practices bear this out.

And just so you don't think this is like an orthodox christian vs. secular academic argument - one issue in particular proves your point wrong. There is vast amount of debate among orthodox (not in Eastern orthodox sense, but as in traditional) theologians about when or if the Kingdom of God has started coming - the debates over and against realized or inaugurated eschatology.
